In creating a new website our purpose was to empower members of CLE with as much automation as possible. You will get emails when news, events and announcements are published on the website. You can receive a monthly digest of these too.

Click to download the membership-form

Complete it and send a cheque to: CLE Membership Secretary, 3 Champ de la Croix, Messeux 16700, Nanteuil en Vallée.

(The form may open in your web browser. If so, please make sure you download it (file, save) and then open in Adobe Acrobat. You can then print it or complete it on-screen and print).

Joining CLE couldn’t be easier – just download the membership form (pdf) from the link above, complete all the appropriate parts and send it back to us with your cheque made payable to CLE.

The joining fee is just €20 and covers all persons in your household. The joining fee of 20€ covers all persons in your household and is valid for one year from January. If you join after 30th September, you still pay the annual fee but it covers you for the remainder of the current year, plus all the following year until December. Annual renewal after the first year is 15€.

As a member, you have access to a substantial volume of knowledge, information and contacts from CLE’s extensive support network….

Our knowledge base has assisted many new members when they first moved to France, especially when encountering and trying to deal with French bureaucracy

CLE can help you find language courses for beginners and at more advanced levels

CLE has close relationships with local organisations such as the Centre Social Culturel du Confolentais, (Confolens Social Centre) which has already helped the integration of newcomers into the local communities.

Events, seminars, social activities and visits are organised each year – see the Events list on the web site

There are CLE discussion groups on subjects such as Eating out, Fishing and Member Feedback and our Garden Group is particularly popular with regular lunches and visits to gardens often opened specially for the CLE.
